Luxury brands popularity drop
I always saw Japan as a leading country if it comes to Luxury brands,
Because almost everyone at least own 1 designer item.
Brands like Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci and Prada have huge stores in Japan.
They sometimes even are three times the size of the shops here in
the PC. Hoofdstraat in Amsterdam.
In Japan people of all ages would buy at those brands
and spend all the money they can miss there.
But times are even changing in Japan.
Somehow they stopped caring about their fashion status.
Because owning brand is a fashion statement and a way to show how wealthy you are.
(Or to pretend you are).
Buying vintage items have become more and more popular over the years and
with stores opening in Japan like H&M and Forever 21,
people now would rather buy more from that then just buying one designer item.
Everything that comes outside of Japan is hot!
So it is very understandable that those brands do so well in Japan.
But also the Japanese brand Uniqlo is doing very well,
because of their low prices.
I think this is a pity development because I always hoped more young people
here in The Netherlands would copy the luxury hype and it would be
more accepted to walk around in/with it.
I love to spot a real LV or Chanel bag ;)
Now we still only will see old rich woman’s with those items :p
Or someone who truly love the brand!
Almost every trend that starts in Japan, you can spot here about 1 or 2 years later.

Heart shaped bags
Heart shaped bags have been around for a long time,
in Japan almost all the Gothic Lolita
brands have brought one out.
I got this bag in 2005 in Japan,
it is from the brand
Baby the stars shine bright.
After all the brands like H&M, Claire's and Topshop
started copying this trend now also Vivienne Westwood
came out with a cute heart shaped bag,
but I have to say, this is the ultimate one!
They are from the 2010 Spring/Summer Ebury line.
In contradistinction to the other bags,
these are made of real leather.
They cost around €806,- and are 27x24cm.

D&G Shoe review and Heel protectors
So I bought these amazing Dolce & Gabbana shoes and like most pretty shoes do,
they hurt my feet!
The solution for this follows in this blog!
The shoes look totally amazing, they came with a bag of extra stones in case some fall of.
They look so much better then the replica shoes Sasha has made of this stone styled shoes.
You can see all stones has been glued or stitched on by hand (the bigger stones are stitched)
The only thing I dislike are these slippery soles, so I guess I need to get them re-soled.
Skin & Make-up routine for troubled / blemished skin
This is my first video about make-up & skin, in the future I will make more.
I have troubled skin, but most people don't notice it because I know to cover it up very well.
Always when I tell them I have acne, they don't believe me.
But believe me I have it, it is gotten less in the years, but I still have it,
especially on my chin.
In this video I want to show you the products I use to keep it all under control.
It has taken years to try out different products and finding the ones that work for me,
maybe it also can work for you.
I think it is important to wear good make-up if you want to use make-up.
Because my skin is also very sensitive I am allergic for many products,
so with this I also had to try out each and every product before I was sure if I could use it.
I can use all products from Chanel, Maybelline and Gosh, but from MAC I cannot use their liquid foundation because it contains too much alcohol, all their other products are fine.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
I also use allot of other make-up brands, but it is too much to write it all down,
but If you have a specific question about a product, don't hesitate to ask.
I hope this video can help you out with your skin!

Balloon Skirts Fashion Show
I still think Balloon skirts are amazing!
It is so feminine!
everyone should at least own one.
But make sure it is not too long, otherwise it can make you look very short.
So the first picture is kind of a bad example.
All pictures are from Spring 2010 collections.
Vivienne Westwood , Valentino
Mulberry , D&G
Chanel , Alexander MC Queen.

Cleaning hair brushes
I have been looking for good and easy ways to clean my hair brushes
and finally I've found it.
When I was at a hair event I got a goody bag and this contained a hairbrush cleaner brush.
I've tried it and it works great!
These are my 3 favorite brushes, which I don't want to trow out because they are dirty.
left to right: Anna Sui comb, Off brand brush, Swimmer brush.
Because I use a lot of hair products, my brushes get dirty very fast,
the product sticks in the brush with dust and that looks gross!
This is the miracle worker ;)
It has very strong bristles which you can run trough your brush,
to get all the dirt out, with the point you can remove hairs.
The brand is Denman, it is a professional brand.
Here you can buy the brush, it is very cheap!

So how can you clean everything at once in the best way?
I'd like to fill up the sink with warm water and soda (or a kind of soap which contains soda),
Soda will help to dissolve all the hair products and hair grease.
Put all of your brushes & combs in the water and let it sit for about an hour.
You will see a lot of dirt now already came loose!
Refresh the water again also with soda.
Now you'll take 1 brush and use the brush cleaner brush to clean out your brush,
run your brush trough the water to remove the dirt that came loose.
if you want to clean your comb, use the tooth pick, this will take a while,
but your comb and brushes will look as good as new!
When you are finished cleaning, rinse in only water.
Don't be afraid to use too much force, brushes and combs are strong enough to endure this.
Good luck!
Decide for your self when you think your brushes and combs need the cleaning.
